Here is our key points checklist. Use it to make sure the logo design service you pick has everything you need. We have included a link to our comparison spreadsheet at the bottom to make it even easier for you to make the right decision!

Have a clear idea of your business’ goals, audiences, values and unique selling points. If you don’t know your business, a designer certainly won’t.
Bespoke Design – Will the final designs be unqiue to your business?
Portfolio – Look at this objectively. Some logos might not be your cup of tea but will work well for the intended target audience. Ask yourself if you think the logo works for the company.
Deliverables – make sure you get all the files you need without hidden costs. The following are an absolute must:
1. 1. Vectors – .ai .eps
  2. Bitmap – .png
  3. Colourways for dark and light backgrounds.
  4. Files with transparent backgrounds
  5. Icon pack
Reviews – check trusted third-party review sites like Trustpilot for previous client feedback. Testimonials from a designer’s own website should be taken with a pinch of salt as they are easily fabricated.
Price – It is better to pay a little more initially for a logo you and your audience love, than pay infinitely more in future lost sales.
Turnaround time – Design projects shouldn’t be rushed if you want the best results but make sure the lead times work with your timeline.
Communication – ensure you are able to effectively communicate with your designer. Check you have more than one method of contact ie. phone, email, social media. Also language barriers often complicate and slow down projects.
Locality – Your consumer rights are much easier to enforce if you work with a company that operates in the same legal system as you.
